my boyfriend and i have been together for 3 yrs and we have been fighitng alot for the past year about everything...we seem to not get along at all anymore....i suggested that we go to counseling together and he flips out every time i bring it up and says if i want to leave than just leave....soo i dont want our son that is 11 months old to have to grow up like i did with a drunk abusive father like i did....now hes not abusive but he drinks on the weekends...its not good and one of these days something bad is gonna happen...i dont know wat to do anymore....i just want to stop fighting but he is so stuborn and cant compromise on anything at all...need some help pleaseNeed some relationship advice?
Mamajama, take your little boy and leave. Your son should be the focus of your concern, not the boyfriend. Get help to get away, and don't look back. Look forward to raising a son who will be a contributing member of society and make a difference in this world!Need some relationship advice?
Maybe you can plan a nice dinner and gently start discussing some of the things that are bothering you. Just ease into the conversation without sounding demanding. I firmly believe in letting the other person know if I am not happy in a relationship so we care discuss it and work on trying to fix the problems, but at the same time let him say what he feels is wrong or what is bothering him. Don't try to discuss anything with him if he has been drinking.
